Memorable experiences high above the Aletsch Glacier
The adventure trail opened in summer 2019 and makes it possible to experience the natural spectacle of the Aletsch Glacier, part of the Unesco World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch, impressively and comfortably on the Eggishorn. The pleasure trail lasts about an hour and you can walk along paths and stairs from vantage point to vantage point. The trail is easy to walk, but not always suitable for strollers and guard rails don't run the all way.

A total of nine places offer magnificent views of the glittering world of the eternal ice, of the impressive mountain giants all around and of the past and future of this unique landscape. Information boards on the "Lounges" provide valuable information and interesting facts about the largest ice stream in the Alps. The "Splash Lounge", for example, provides information on water and ice: "If the Aletsch Glacier were to melt completely, the entire world population could be supplied with 1 litre of water a day for 4.5 years". The starting and finishing point of the tour is the Eggishorn mountain station.

If you have time, you shouldn't miss to take the mountain walk to the Eggishorn main summit (15 minutes) under your feet. Here, one fully enjoys the 360º panorama.

Mountain paths lead from the Eggishorn mountain station back to Fiescheralp or past the beautiful Tällisee down to Märjelensee. Experienced mountain hikers can reach the Bettmerhorn via the Bettmergrat high trail. And the medium-difficulty Eggishorn via ferrata offers exciting traverses and vertical passages.

At the small mountain hut on the Eggishorn with its breathtaking sun terrace high above the Aletsch Glacier you can enjoy drinks and Valais specialities.
